Bridge Swing Victoria Falls – Gorge Pendulum from the Victoria Falls Bridge

The Bridge Swing is the most physically intense activity available on the Victoria Falls Bridge. Unlike the bungee jump – which is a straight vertical drop – the swing begins with a controlled freefall of 70+ metres before converting into a sweeping pendulum arc across the Batoka Gorge. You travel horizontally at high speed, 111 metres above the Zambezi River, with the gorge walls on both sides and the spray of Victoria Falls visible in the background. The sensation is sustained: where the bungee is over in three seconds, the swing gives you several minutes of active motion.

It operates on the Victoria Falls Bridge – the 1905 cantilever railway bridge spanning the Zimbabwe-Zambia border above the Zambezi. Bring your passport.

What the Experience Involves

You are fitted with a full-body harness on the bridge platform. Your jump master conducts a thorough safety briefing and equipment check. You are positioned at the edge and released into a controlled freefall – the cord converts the drop into a pendulum arc that carries you across the gorge at speed. The swing decelerates naturally over several arcs before you are lowered to a recovery point. Total experience time including briefing and equipment is approximately 30–45 minutes.
